How come this version runs choppy?<br>Would it be better to download the DOS version?<br>And I tried using the video card settings to improve it but it did nothing let alone not change fix the pixels I saw everywhere.....?<br>Is there some setting I have to do to make this NOT run choppy, or do I need the DOS version instead?

There's some optimization needed and this is not a trivial task. As of DOS version software renderer may be faster here. Also in options menu set "Span drawing" to "subdivision 16".

Yes, player who is hosting a game (a server) will have slowdown. Other players (i.e. clients) that joins this game will have no slowdowns because of the bots.
